The Antigen Test analyses a nasopharyngeal sample and in less than 20 minutes detects the presence of the antigen (protein found on the surface of the virus), allowing you to determine whether your symptoms are due to SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Important: It is recommended to confirm a negative antigen result with a PCR test because a negative antigen result does not exclude Covid-19 infection.

- Fill in the Form

- Receive your appointment details by email
- Be at the sampling location at the agreed time
- Do not arrive more than 5 minutes before the appointment

- The results are sent in a valid travel certificate in English/Spanish
- The verbal result will be issued 20 minutes* after the sample is taken but the certificate with the result will be issued within 24 hours.
- *The results may be slightly delayed due to high demand and for reasons beyond the control of Instituto Médico Madrid.
Sanitary conditions
- The extraction is carried out by qualified health personnel in approved centres.
- All positive cases are notified to the health authorities as established by the Ministry of Health.
- If you have tested positive, you should go to your assigned health centre.
